The jail population is mostly pretrial, meaning most people there are waiting on open cases. The Florida Department of Corrections county detention report listed an average daily population of 1,590 in September 2025 and 1,525 in June 2025 for the Pasco County and Land O' Lakes location. Personal mail is not delivered to the jail. A vendor scans personal mail and makes it available on tablets, then destroys the physical copies 60 days after upload.
